UV Wise is designed with your privacy in mind. The personal data you enter stays on your device and is not collected, transmitted, or sold by us.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you add profiles to the app, you may provide:

• Names — used to identify profiles within the app
• Photos — optional profile photos stored locally on your device
• SPF values and reapplication intervals — sunscreen settings for each profile

Information Generated by the App

The app records sunscreen application history for each profile, including:

• Timestamps of each application
• SPF value used
• UV index at the time of application
• Location label (e.g., city name) associated with the application

Location Information

UV Wise accesses your device's location to retrieve the current UV index via Apple WeatherKit. Location data is sent directly to Apple's WeatherKit service and is not transmitted to us. A location label (such as a city name) may be saved locally as part of your application history.
